Call me crazy, but Commander Tartar's origins and motives are awfully like those of the Master from the original Fallout game. Both assume a final form produced from biomass and are obsessed with creating the ultimate life form to roam the Earth. Even before Fallout, Star Trek had the Borg, a vast collection of cybernetic organisms whose ultimate goal is "achieving perfection" by assimilating other organisms deemed worthy of adding to its gene pool. Unlike the Zerg in StarCraft, The Borg do not cull species it considers too inferior; they simply ignore them unless they ever pose a threat or are directed to attack. | |||

Call me crazy, but Commander Tartar's origins and motives are awfully like those of the Master from the original Fallout game. Both assume a final form produced from biomass and are obsessed with creating the ultimate life form to roam the Earth. Even before Fallout, Star Trek had the Borg, a vast collection of cybernetic organisms whose ultimate goal is "achieving perfection" by assimilating other organisms deemed worthy of adding to its gene pool.
