*I would not take it at face value because it is just a poetic device, poems dreamed up by Agent 8 who may or may not have even seen a real Maws. ''Erupting Eel'' could be just alliteration. Behavior when Spawned
Throughout my times with Salmon Run, I've seen in Maws spawned in, and it spawned near me, but it didn't attack me and went after a random player. Would this sound noteworthy? AsrielTheInkling (talk) 17:11, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

- I would not take it at face value because it is just a poetic device, poems dreamed up by Agent 8 who may or may not have even seen a real Maws. Erupting Eel could be just alliteration. Nothing like that is mentioned in the Japanese version. Besides, its in-game model is just half a fish... A noteworthy piece of trivia though. We can mention the mem-cake, but whether it is actually an eel should be up for debate. I still think it is a type of salmon. It is definitely a Boss Salmonid nevertheless.
