:It's a good quote, but I would argue the current quote suits him better. Yes Grizz is very business oriented, but his ultimate objectives override that. In a sense, I would argue the current quote shows off his underlying personality/motives better. But yeah, it could also be used for the Rocket Battle page as well. <span style="color:#FF0000"> FOCUS TREE </span> (talk) 16:29, 13 January 2023 (UTC)

:Agreed, the Big Run quote is better because it avoids spoilers while still capturing a large part of the personality Grizz presents to the players through various means. Bruhsfx2dotwav (talk) 16:33, 13 January 2023 (UTC)

Personality

What do you mean? OctoAmbush (talk) 20:00, 14 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

About the infobox image...

Should we make it so the infobox image features either the statue first, or his bear form first? Something about showcasing his bear form front-and-center feels... off, considering it's meant to be a secret for the end of Splatoon 3's campaign and he is primarily represented by the statue itself in all of Splatoon 2 and in Salmon Run: Next Wave (at least, until that statue gets swapped out post-campaign, but you presumably know what we meant.) Maybe adding some button to switch between displaying the statue and his bear self would be good? But we dunno how to design something like that. Consider this just a note to possibly look into that if that's deemed a necessary change. --Camwoodstock (talk) 20:06, 14 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

i think thats a great idea! ive seen infoboxes where youi can switch to a different image before (especially when showing the appearences of characters in each game) although i have no idea how to implement it. Lake (talk) 17:45, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Personality difference between languages

There is a big disparity in how Mr. Grizz’s personality is presented between the Japanese and English versions, so I think it is worth mentioning somewhere in the article. I tried to include the information in the Personality and Traits section, but it was immediately undone: https://splatoonwiki.org/w/index.php?title=Mr._Grizz&diff=prev&oldid=295201. I am not good at English, so I cannot fix what was considered bad about my edit. Could someone please incorporate it in an acceptable way? Thank you. — Sayunu (talk) 21:52, 14 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I added back the same info myself with slightly different wording, and it apparently got a pass. It is moved to the Trivia section, but it is not treated the same way as vandalism, so I suppose that is enough for now. — Sayunu (talk) 10:10, 15 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Full RoTM dialogues

Do we need to have a seperate page for this or just in the dialogue section? Considering that there are actually a lot, and other languages are probably needed too

ps. most of these dialogues can already be found on Villains Wiki but I believe the part after Site 6 is missing, when Cuttlefish says that he is at some high places FMSTZ9263 (talk) 10:16, 16 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

True form dialogue icon

Should we add the dialogue icon for his true form to the gallery? Aqua68080 (talk) 01:12, 26 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

yup, i'm on it! Lake (talk) 17:46, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
For official Splatoon stuff, the notability policy is "this is Splatoon stuff". Miss Delibirda (talk) 17:47, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
no those are spoilers Greasy Hot Dog (talk) 14:46, 19 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

See this?!

"— Before the Final Battle of Return of the Mammalians" MAJOR SPOILERS, on the THIRD SENTENCE! C'mon, someone fix this (i'm no good with templates) Greasy Hot Dog (talk) 00:31, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Spoilers are generally fair game in wikis. If there’s a spoiler warning that can be placed at the top of the page, that should be done, but imho the information shouldn’t be compromised to avoid spoilers. Silverbrick (talk) 16:20, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
This wiki removed spoiler tags long ago
But i think they should return 'em or at least DO NOT PUT SPOILERS ON THE FIRST to FIFTH SENTENCE
You see, when some people enter this page, they do not know Mr.grizz is on even on the story mode Greasy Hot Dog (talk) 14:43, 19 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Isn’t Li’l Judd a Mammal?

Not to be disrespectful, but why was Li’l Judd taken out of my description? I’m not saying this because I’m mad, I’m just curious as to why he was removed, whoever removed him. Thanks! Wind Waker (talk) 18:29, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

That’s because he was created sometime in between the events of Splatoon and Splatoon 2, meaning he didn’t exist when Mr. Grizz returned. Miss Delibirda (talk) 18:38, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
This I know, but it doesn’t really sound like it was talking about just when the rocket crashed, the text makes it sound like a fact in the whole entirety. Wind Waker (talk) 21:56, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Since the section is not saying that Mr. Grizz and Judd are the last surviving mammals but the last mammals left on earth there is technically room for Li'l Judd. If Li'l Judd is desired to stand there too I would suggest rephrasing the sentence to "excluding Judd and later on Li'l Judd" or something similar.   Perfectionist   (talk) 22:25, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
That works perfectly! Miss Delibirda (talk) 09:23, 30 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah, that’s a great idea! Wind Waker (talk) 16:21, 31 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Mr. Grizz name in Japanese

I was thinking, is it possible Mr.Grizz name in Japanese in Splatoon 2 was a hint towards Grizz being Bear #03? Mr.Grizz in Japanese is Kuma-san, and although typicaly the prefix "san" is used to mean "Mr.", it could have been a foreshadow to San meaning the number 3 in Japanese, Kuma - San, Bear 3, Bear #03 Just a thought really Ceptor101 (talk) 21:08, 1 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Nice catch. But what does this have to do with his name in Japanese translations? S3 Murch Render.png Chrome Wolf S3 Big Man Render.png (🎙, 🗂). 22:43, 1 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Found Mr Grizz in credits.

Do I add this info in his page or Easter eggs page? Dabbing-ChromeWolf.jpg Chrome Wolf S3 Big Man Render.png (🎙, 🗂). 12:00, 2 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I guess Easter Egg. I have a hard time believing that the credits are supposed to be canon. Miss Delibirda (talk) 12:05, 2 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Can we change his main quote?

The quote at the top of the page is something like "now come here... so I can break you", but I feel that this implies that he generally aggressive, when his personality actually more business-inclined. I think a better quote might be "Way to show those Salmonids who's the boss! It's me. I'm the boss" from Big Run. Thoughts? Ryaan (talk) 21:13, 12 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I agree, it's best if it's changed. The quote suits the Rocket Battle page better. It also serves as a massive spoiler for players coming for Salmon Run information, alongside the infobox image. Regarding the image there's been some other infobox-related proposals that I think others will handle.
The specific Big Run quote is a great alternative!! Yoshifan52 (talk) 21:20, 12 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
