Unclear trivia point

• This is the first non-special Splatfest that is the same in all regions since Money vs. Fame vs. Love.

I may be dumb, but I honestly don't understand what this trivia point means. Weren't most Splatfests in the game the same in all regions aside from a couple ones (like the kaitenyaki, filling and chips ones for Japan, and the weekdays, greetings and instruments for the rest of the world)? For two+ whole seasons now every Splatfest that hasn't been a special theme (the anniversary fest, the seasonal fests) since MvFvL has been region-divided and not global, and now this one is breaking that trend.

Red links

Hi, I'm wondering would it be acceptable to have a galery with red links that users can fill in? I have a sandbox page here: User:CodingAsteroid/Sandbox where I have placed a gallery with images that follow the same theme as other splatfest pages. As more official content is yet to be released, it is full of red links. Would it be ok to put that in this main article so that users can fill in the gaps when images get released? Ideally rather than having open red links sitting there, they would be hidden by being wrapped the note tag <!-- --> .

As long as uploaders were to name their files appropriately, all that would then have to be done is simply to delete or reposition the note tags and the uploaded images would appear, without needing to have any red links that make the page look rather openly unfinished and untidy. Mistranslation in Japanese Title (+Incorrect Trivia)

(Long post, TLDR posted below!)

Currently the Japanese title shows the translation of "助かる方法を探す"/"tasukaru hōhō o sagasu" (English equivalent is "Save The Day") as translating to "Find a way to survive", which I believe is incorrect. I don't spend much time on Twitter, but I do recall that a rumor was saying the title meant to say "survive", and while google translate does show tasukaru as translating to "survive" this is one of the alternate translations, and personally I've almost never heard tasukaru used as "survive", just as "help" or "save". Especially used after "方法" ("hōhō"), which translates to "method", a more literal translation would be "Method of helping" or "Method of saving", and I've never heard it used as "survive" in this situation.

I'm not a native Japanese speaker, but I do have several years of both high school and college level Japanese language. I recently found a video with the Japanese Splatfest announcement, (link here) and one of the lines that Big Man speaks (this specific one I am confident I can read correctly, since it almost entirely is hiragana and katakana, and the kanji used is pretty simple) heavily implies that his team name is to be understood as "Find a way to help" or some variant on helping/saving everyone. One specific line is "エイッ!(ボクは最後まで助かる方法を探す! もちろんボクだけじゃなくて、2人もみんなもね!)" ("ay! (Boku wa saigo made tasukaru hohou wo sagasu! Mochiron boku dake jyanakute, futari mo minna mo ne!)"). I'd translate the first part as "Finally, [he says this since the other two announced their teams first] I'd look for a way to help!" (The last sentence is the same exact sentence as the title of his team).

The second part of that line, "mochiron boku dake jyanakute, futari mo minna mo ne!" translates more or less to "Of course not just myself, but you two [Shiver and Frye] and everyone else as well!" One of the current trivia points claims that the title "助かる方法を探す"reads "Save yourself", which doesn't align at all with Big Man's statement, so I believe that trivia point is definitely incorrect. As for the translation of it as "Find a way to survive", it seems less sensible that he's talking about making everyone survive more than helping or saving everyone--or even if you consider it to be "making everyone survive", that's pretty much the same thing as "saving everyone". Considering how tasukaru is usually used to mean "save" or "help", it makes more sense to translate it as, "Find a way to save everyone" (Very similar to "Find a way to help"). The implications of "Find a way to survive" also carry differently in English as much more self interested than the actual intention of the title.

Other lines he speaks also support this (The "Maybe we can find a portal to another world or something?!" line he speaks in English is almost one to one with the line he speaks in Japanese), and the way Shiver and Frye react to his decision is similar to the English lines, so I'm almost certain the title is much closer to "Save the Day" than "Find a Way to Survive." I believe the information that it was translated as "survive" which was spread on Twitter was baselessly used, or at least a misunderstanding of the word "tasukaru".

Originally, the Japanese title and translations were actually put in by SaltySquib on May 2nd as "Find a way to help", but they changed it on May 3rd to "Find a way to survive". I'm planning on changing it back to "Find a way to help" for the reasons listed above, but I wanted to make a post officially addressing the rumors about the translation since it otherwise might be a more contested change. I don't feel confident enough in my understanding of Japanese to translate the announcement dialogue in full, but I think even with the few lines I'm confident in reading it's clear enough evidence of the intentions of Splatoon Japan. Splatoon NOA has gotten better with translating things more accurately, and I am certain this is not one of their infamous mistranslations.

TLDR: Japanese title shows as "Find a Way to Survive", but Big Man's Japanese Announcement lines imply that it's actually more accurate as "Find a Way to Help", since "Find a Way to Survive" implies only trying to keep yourself safe, and Big Man talks about wanting to save everyone. Also, the Japanese word contested as meaning "Survive" is not typically used as that, but rather "Save" or "Help".
