Reward Tiers

North American Splatfest

  • Cat/Dog Fanboy/Fangirl
  • Cat/Dog Fiend
  • Cat/Dog Defender
  • Cat/Dog Champion
  • Cat/Dog King/Queen

In our Splatfest, our stages were Urchin Underpass, Walleye Warehouse, and Kelp Dome. I live in Canada. I'm not sure if I can find a translation for the Japanese Splatfest, but I do have the North American Tiers.

European Splatfest

  • Normal Rock/Pop Boy/Girl
  • Full-on Rock/Pop Boy/Girl
  • Super Rock/Pop Boy/Girl
  • Charismatic Rock/Pop Boy/Girl
  • Eternal Rock/Pop Boy/Girl

Liggliluff (talk) 21:36, 4 July 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

In Splatfest, our stages were Urchin Underpass, Walleye Warehouse and Port Mackerel. I'm in Australia so I'm currently doing the EU/AU one. Pinkolol16 (talk) 10:15, 5 July 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Super Sea Snails

Aren't the number of sea snails given depending on what the team won?
2 extra sea snails for the team with the highest number of votes
3 extra sea snails for the team with the highest win percentage
If I recall the end results from the last Splatfest correctly.

japan next splatfest

japan splatfest website

Nintendo japan via twitter and the game official japanese website already announced its next splatfest

is sponsored by KIRIN with two of its drinks as team options

Since there was a talk topic about this i just wanted to edit this one. What about the new splatfest in japan that they posted about today? https://twitter.com/SplatoonJP/status/632381923415822336 it is held from August 22 at 12:00 - August 23 at 12:00. The two teams are Grasshopper and Ants I think but i would like to see what others think about it first before it should be added to the "upcoming events section" Zomgitssoup (talk) 03:08, 15 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Everybody Votes Channel

Some of the Splatfest themes are recycled from Everybody Votes Channel. Notably, North America's first Splatfest theme (Cat vs. Dog) is also the first global poll in that channel, "Do you prefer dogs or cats?". To add to that, Europe/Oceania's second Splatfest theme (Eating vs. Sleeping) is also one of the first three regional polls in that channel, "Which do you prefer? -Eating -Sleeping". Japan's second Splatfest theme (Maruchan Red Fox Udon vs. Green Tanuki Soba) is also the first Japanese poll in that channel, "Which do you like, udon or soba?"

Did you see the coincidence? InfiniteMusume (talk) 13:40, 19 July 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Help

Could anybody fix my mistakes on this page?

Ink colours for marshmellows vs hotdogs was confirmed by nwplayer as ce334fff 008006ff ffe80aff (they're hexes) so the ink might have to be changed Pinkolol16 (talk) 08:13, 8 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Can anyone add Castilian Spanish (NOE) name?

Its name is "Festival temático" (Thematic Festival) and also is referred as "Festival".

New European Titles

Ok our splatfest titles in Europe are the same as America's now, Fanboy/girl, Fiend, Defender, Champion and King/Queen, I just spent hours levelling up seeing them all, what will we do? Pinkolol16 (talk) 03:44, 9 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Here's a Miiverse link where some titles can be seen. Aside from the English matching the US, I see a French screenshot with the title "Experte en Pôle Nord". --Christopher Fritz (talk) 05:23, 9 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Split up the table/gallery

We're only going to get more Splatfests, and with 3 at a time, the table is gonna become really cluttered really quick. (In my opinion, it's already very cluttered.) I suggest splitting the list of Splatfests table, and the gallery, like this:

  • I can't approve this since I have no power over it, but this sounds great!

Hopefully this gets approved!

--Sigma (talk) 23:52, 9 August 2015 (UTC)SigmaReply[reply]

I really like how that looks, too; it's a lot more organized and professional-looking. Nice work, there! SilverStarlight (talk) 23:58, 9 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I agree and also love this idea. Also regardless of whether we split the table up like this, we should also make the tables collapsable so that the tables don't take up a huge chunk of the page when they get too big. Jer455 (talk) 01:01, 10 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'll go ahead and put this into the Splatfest page right now. - Jer455 (talk) 23:47, 10 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

New Japanese Splatfest announced

Go to Japan's Splatoon Twitter page and you will see a new Splatfest has been announced! It's being held on August 22nd, and the theme is "Grasshopper vs. Ali". (At least that's what the translation said.) If someone could put that up on the upcoming Splatfests that'd be awesome!

--Sigma (talk) 03:15, 15 August 2015 (UTC)SigmaReply[reply]

Grasshopper vs Ant. Miiverse screenshot. Interesting that they used a western story, rather than something Japanese (like monkey vs crab). --Christopher Fritz (talk) 06:17, 15 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Japanese splatfest stages

I can't edit the page because I'm not autoconfirmed, but can someone add these? Awesomelink234 (talk) 12:53, 22 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Last Japan Splatfest

Grasshoppers won 61% of the popularity and 53% of the wins. Ants won 39% and 47% of the wins. So the results were 273 for Grasshoppers and 227 for Ants. Callie wins. I tried putting it into the finished infobox but it failed. Elite Octoling (talk) 14:49, 23 August 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Error in Reward Tiers

The second paragraph after the Reward tiers table still states "Win percentage is worth double the value of popularity." Of course, since the August update it's been quadruple.

Also, didn't the table used to show the EXP required for each rank, as well as cumulative frequency? When/why did that go?

Japanese Splatfest

It seems as Japan's fifth Splatfest is around the corner. If you don't believe me, check out Japan's Splatoon webpage. It looks like Clams vs. Fans, but sadly I can't speak Japanese. If anybody could translate that'd be great, if not, we'll have to wait for Splatoon JP's Twitter page to upload info about it.

--Sigma talk 02:32, 5 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It appears to be Boke vs. Tsukkomi. That's from Japanese comedy where the Boke role is basically like the funny man and the Tsukkomi is the sane man. The tsukkomi usually hit the boke on the head with a fan. A well-known example is the Japanese comedy group Downtown. Also here's the Splatfest on the Japanese Twitter page if anyone can fully translate it: [1] Herobrine (talk) 04:02, 5 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

My bad. The translation said Blur, not Boke. But I can most definitely change the name from Blur to Boke. Thank you for the info. --Sigma talk 04:16, 5 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

On Nintendo News' Twitter page, they made a tweet about the upcoming Japanese Splatfest: https://twitter.com/NintendoNews/status/640009732070187008

But anyways, they called it Funny vs. Straight. Should we change Boke vs. Tsukkomi to that or should we keep it the same as it is? --Sigma talk 19:03, 5 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I think it's a good idea to change it. It'll be a little easier to understand for users that aren't into Japanese comedy. I think it should be called Funny Man and Straight Man because I noticed some users on Twitter were confused by it simply being called Funny vs. Straight. What do you think of that? --Herobrine (talk) 06:18, 6 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I'd like that. Want me to make the change?

--Sigma talk 11:35, 6 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sure, if you can! --Herobrine (talk) 12:05, 6 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The official Japanese Twitter just posted an image of the tees for their current Splatfest. https://twitter.com/SplatoonJP/status/642173919923847168/photo/1 --Herobrine (talk) 03:28, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Quotes

I noticed that this page only has the Marshmallow vs. Hot Dog announcement. If you guys would like, I could add all of the ones in English and have a translator do the Japanese ones, or I could just leave it be. --Sigma talk 20:21, 6 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Dive in dude: it's a wiki that's editable by everyone :) User:Kjhf/Sig 20:23, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

Alright! I won't disappoint! --Sigma talk 20:24, 6 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Could anyone see if they can translate the announcements for the Japanese Splatfests? For the sixth time, I'm going to try to edit this so that somebody may see this and at least respond. If anybody COULD translate the announcements and the results for the Japanese Splatfests, that would be excellent. Here are some links:

  • If you're going to add all these quotes, make sure it uses the same template that we have for Squid Sisters Quotes on inividiual stages (e.g. Arowana Mall's Quotes). Or at least make them collapsible. ~CreatorGX (Talk) 16:17, 9 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • I made Japan Splatfest quotes been used the template. As a side effect, originally Japanese sentences are written on. I think it gets easier to make these rough translations better.--Azoth (talk) 03:38, 10 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

King Images

Could anybody help me find images of somebody reaching King rank (Kinda like GuyPerfect does) for both Team Cat and Team Marshmallow? If any of you guys could that would be awesome. Another thing is, I've seen those kind of images on YouTube, but sadly it won't let me freeze the video and copy and paste the frozen image. --Sigma talk 13:04, 14 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

  1. Set video quality to the highest possible
  2. Make it full-screen
  3. Take a screenshot
  4. Crop out what you don't need
And you got yourself an image! --Bzeep! talk 13:34, 14 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

How do I take a screenshot of it on a computer? --Sigma talk 13:35, 14 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Erm. If you're on Mac, it's command+shift+3, and a .PNG will show up on your desktop. If you're on Windows, it's ctrl+prtsc, and then you paste it into whatever program you want to edit it in. --Bzeep! talk 13:39, 14 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Okay, I've pasted it on Google Slides and cropped it to my liking. How do I get it on Inkipedia now? It won't let me copy a URL. --Sigma talk 13:55, 14 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello? Bzeep? --Sigma talk 15:02, 14 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Lol it's okay dude, I just had to go for a few hours. Look, I made a lil thing just for you. :y --Bzeep! talk 17:42, 14 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Got it. Thanks, Bzeep. I'll let you know if I have any issues with it. --Sigma talk 17:50, 14 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Quote Faces

Do we have an face image of Callie and Marie's "Stay Fresh" face? If so what is the code name for it? --Sigma talk 22:34, 15 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Also, can somebody fix my mistakes? --Sigma talk 22:59, 15 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Oh you're right, we don't have the "stay fresh" faces. I.. didn't even notice until now. Where's that template...?
Ey, and it looks like Az cleaned up the collapsible stuff for ya.
