Work suits are the equipment worn by Grizzco Industries employees in the place of standard gear during Salmon Run and Salmon Run Next Wave shifts.

Description

Work suits went unnamed in Splatoon 2's Salmon Run, with all players using the same style of suit.

Beginning in Splatoon 3's Salmon Run Next Wave, alternate "Grizzco approved"[1] work suits have now been made available; the basic work suit style is also now different, being called a "slopsuit" (the Splatoon 2-style suits are now named as "gloopsuits"). Unlike standard gear which possesses abilities, all work suits have no actual gameplay functionality, and may be chosen freely by players based on aesthetic appeal. The player starts with access to only the Orange Slopsuit, and any additional suits must be purchased with fish scales earned by combating King Salmonids during Xtrawaves.

Appearance

Broadly speaking, gloopsuits and slopsuits share many similar design traits. They appear cheaply-made and mainly focused on practicality, with an especially large focus on water-resistant materials.

Gloopsuits feature a set of rubber chest waders with boots and matching gloves, along with a white undershirt and a mesh baseball cap. The chest of the waders and the front of the cap are both emblazoned with the Grizzco Industries logo.

Slopsuits are instead a set of full-body waders with a harness and reflective safety vest over top; they also appear to feature duct tape wrapped around the wrists and ankles of the suit. The associated headgear is also different, now being a hard hat with an attached headlamp and radio headset.
