High Deletion Count I believe ain't needed

You recently added deletion notices for List of Salmonids, Octarians, & Enemies.

For the Octarians The reason given is the list was already provided on the main page, However the list itself contains information not equipped within the original page but rather only subcategorizes, and the list itself further details and sorts the subcategorizes and shows which never actually appears in game.

Now for the salmonids I can partially understand, since it mostly contradicts the previous statement, But the shown information does not give higher detail while the list itself does, In some areas If this does have to get deleted it should be transferred to Salmon Run Next Wave Data

For the list of Enemies there is no proper organization of all the enemies across all games to quote User:6-Frisk : "I know and understand the reasoning behind the deletion request, … It actually benefits from being in a table and gives a convenient overview of [what] … enemies exist, something that I don't think is present anywhere else? I think this one should stay somewhere on the wiki." (K (talk) 00:28, 13 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

First things first, thank you for prompting some discussion here. More than happy to try to explain where I'm coming from here. I will say that deletion isn't necessarily my goal here, I just don't think these lists need to be in mainspace when we already have all of this information available. Now, I'll go through the lists one by one.
List of Octarians is really well organized, and I like the fact that it shows all the mode-specific variants for each type and shows what appears in each game. With that being said, all of this information is conveyed (in a less-clear format, I will concede) in Octarian, with it even having links to the mode-specific variants in general. Also, could you clarify what you mean by it showing what "never actually appears in-game"?
List of Salmonids is essentially a carbon-copy of Salmonid#Types of Salmonid, but with more images. I don't think we need to have it. Also, again, could you clarify what parts should be transferred to Salmon Run Next Wave data? I don't see anything that isn't already on that page.
Talk:List of Octarians has my response to what User:6-Frisk said, but I'll repeat it here for convenience. It's a really good, well-organized list, but considering how broad it is and how few situations there are that would need it, it ends up being (to me) cruft. I think it would be a wonderful resource as a userpage, but it doesn't need to reside in mainspace.
Happy to discuss this, thanks again for reaching out. :) Bruhsfx2dotwav (talk) 00:58, 13 December 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
