Let me explain. Off the Hook's Dutch, French, German, and Italian names do not only resemble but they are nearly identical to the Pokémon Tentacool's name, only differing with capitalization, space and hyphens. Your reference you are suggesting is much more loose. It plays, as far as I understand it, on that Marina is the same as Harbor and therefore is a reference to Pearl Harbor. This is not only farfetched but also obscure and irrelevant since there is no real reason for Off the Hook to reference Pearl Harbor to my knowledge. The Pokémon Tentacool on the other hand is an octopus like the members in Off the Hook. --[[User:Raltseye|Raltseye]] [[User talk:Raltseye|prata med mej]] 18:25, 6 May 2018 (UTC) | Let me explain. I concede that is a good explanation. Though about there being no reason for Off the Hooks name being a reference to Pearl Harbour, Nintendo is a Japanese company, and it would, admit-ably humorous that they would reference a successful (in the short term) preemptive attack by the Japanese on an American naval base, bringing the US into the second world war. Off the Hook
--Raltseye prata med mej 18:25, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
- I concede that is a good explanation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Focus Tree (talk • contribs)
- Yes, though bear in mind that Pearl and Marina is the American localization and not present in the original.
