Fresh Season 2023 is the third season in Splatoon 3. The season began on 1 March 2023, a day after the release of Version 3.0.0.

Announcement

Fresh Season 2023 was announced on 16 February 2023 via the @SplatoonJP Twitter account.

• Big Run event.
  • Big Run stage: Inkblot Art Academy taking place on 4 March 2023 until 6 March 2023.
• Eggstra Work event.
  • Eggstra Work is new event where players form a team with friends, challenge a fixed 5 Wave job scenario, and compete for the total number of Golden Eggs obtained during the scenario. Much like Big Runs, depending if players reach the top 50%, 20%, or 5% of egg scores, they'll receive a bronze, silver, or gold version respectively of a sticker reward handed out to everyone. The first Eggstra Work is scheduled for April of Fresh Season 2023.

Other

• New Tableturf Battle Cards.
  • Cards based on Deep Cut boss battle variants from The Future Stares Back, The Pursuit of the Precious and The Obscurest Chiaroscurist missions in Return of the Mammalians.
  • Cards for the new shop vendors in Inkopolis Plaza.
  • A card for the new gear brand, Z+F.
  • Cards for all the weapons being added this season, including special weapons.
• More Locker decorations and stickers, including some that are almost certainly available as Salmon Run rewards.
• The ability to change the player's appearance in Salmon Run Next Wave by redeeming scales to unlock the work suit from Splatoon 2's Salmon Run, and new recolors of it.
• A new King Salmonid, Horrorboros.
• A new Gear Brand, Z+F, which is a collaboration between Zekko and Firefin.
