Sloshers' Data and Parameter Database
Plenty of relevant information regarding Sloshing Machines – and all other weapons in the Slosher category – is missing in the Data section (for both Splatoon and Splatoon 2), most notably frames in between shots and frames between firing a shot and either morphing into squid/octopus form or using a sub weapon. I would like this information displayed in the Data section primarily so I can compare the Kensa Sloshing Machine's mobility to similarly ranged weapons, such as the Kensa Splattershot Pro and the Kensa Rapid Blaster. I looked in the Parameter Database, but it has so much information that it is rather difficult to find what I am looking for. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated. - @DaDoc540 Yes, it takes time and effort to research because there is so much information, and parameters are sometimes not clearly named or defined. I added frames for the initial attack, and frames between swings. Heddy (talk) 15:03, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
- Is there anything else that needs to be added? Heddy (talk) 18:05, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
- That is great! Knowing how quickly a slosher player can recover after firing – in comparison to other weapons, including other slosher classes – is important for knowing when a player is at most vulnerable to attack. (If I were to look in the parameter database of another weapon in the future, what would give me these stats?)
- One stat that is missing with slosher-class weapons is effective range, or the range at which a weapon inflicts maximum damage before the falloff penalty. Having this data for slosher-class weapons will allow one to compare them to other weapons, such as shooters and blasters, to determine which weapons have a range advantage and which ones should not rely on a head-on approach.DaDoc540 (talk) 19:51, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
- If I were to look in the parameter database of another weapon in the future, what would give me these stats? It's the parameter
PostDelayFrm_Main
. By frame counting recordings I found that sloshers have 10 frames added to the parameter's value, while other weapons just use the parameter without adding anything to it. - For effective range for sloshers, the parameter
BulletDamageMaxDist
is probably related. But the value is too small to be the range and it seems to be part of a larger calculation. We'll see if I can figure it out. Heddy (talk) 21:27, 27 September 2020 (UTC)

Splatoon 3 story mode
So in the new direct I saw the new agent 3 hold something similar to a sloshing machine for a brief second but couldn't take a screenshot or anything. Ima wait until new information. BadTimeGamer123 (talk) 02:24, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
- They do hold the sloshing machine in 1:33, good catch. I captured a shot from the direct if you want to crop and use it. Shahar (talk) 02:43, 1 October 2021 (UTC)
