Basic Tee
The Basic Tee is Clothing in Splatoon and Splatoon 2. It is a 1-star item produced by the [[File:SquidForce_Brand_{{{2}}}.png|24px|{{{2}}}|link=SquidForce]] [[{{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] Brand and comes with the main Ability 
Quick Respawn.
The Basic Tee is available at the start of both games. It can be purchased from SplatNet 2 for File:750 Icon Cash.png.
Splatoon
Appearance
The Basic Tee is a yellow short-sleeved shirt. On the front are some Inkling letters printed in a very dark yellow, and on the bottom is a small purple tag with the SquidForce logo. On the wearer's chest is a white pin with a green and yellow starfish design on it.
Abilities
The Basic Tee comes with 
Quick Respawn as a main Ability. As a 1-star item, it also has one slot for a secondary Ability. Since it is made by the [[File:SquidForce_Brand_{{{2}}}.png|24px|{{{2}}}|link=SquidForce]] [[{{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] Brand, it has a higher chance of rolling 
Damage Up and a lower chance of rolling 
Ink Saver (Main).

Trivia
- The symbols on the shirt in Splatoon loosely resemble the Japanese word for "Squid" (いか).
- The starfish pin worn with the shirt is a reference to the Japanese Wakaba mark, a symbol representing anything having to do with beginners. This is fitting considering the fact that the Basic Tee is the first piece of clothing received to new players.
