Barrels are a kind of surface appearing in Splatoon.

Function

A barrel in Camp Triggerfish.

Barrels can be found in several different stages, such as Camp Triggerfish, Kelp Dome, and Moray Towers, and even in Octo Valley. They will be colored in the neutral color corresponding to the ink used by each team; for example, in a pink versus green match, barrels will be colored cyan.

Barrels cannot be covered in ink and are generally too tall to be jumped over, allowing them to serve as protective borders for Inklings.
