The Hero Jacket Replica is a piece of clothing in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, it is a 2-star item produced by Cuttlegear and comes with the primary ability Swim Speed Up. It is obtained after completing Octo Valley. It cannot be ordered from another player.

In Splatoon 2, it is a 2-star item produced by Cuttlegear and comes with the primary ability Swim Speed Up. It is only available from the Callie amiibo after completing Octo Canyon. It cannot be ordered from another player.

In Splatoon 3, it is a 1-star item produced by Cuttlegear and comes with the primary ability Swim Speed Up. It is only available from the Callie amiibo. It cannot be ordered from another player.

Appearance

The Hero Jacket Replica was originally worn as part of the Hero Suit in Octo Valley. It is form-fitting and black with a large collar and a bright yellow safety vest worn on top. At the wearer's left hip hangs two small accessories, one gray and squid-shaped with a light blue outline that seems to glow, and the other red, oval-shaped, and reflective. It is unknown what purpose these items serve.

In Splatoon 2, the reflective portions of the Hero Jacket Replica give off much more light from certain angles. They also glow in the dark slightly from any angle. The squid-shaped accessory's outline now changes color depending on the wearer's ink.

The Hero Jacket Replica comes with Swim Speed Up as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the Hero Jacket Replica comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Splatoon 2

The Hero Jacket Replica comes with Swim Speed Up as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the Hero Jacket Replica comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Splatoon 3

Abilities

The Hero Jacket Replica comes with Swim Speed Up as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Hero Jacket Replica comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star. Increasing the star level to 2 stars will add another secondary ability slot for a total of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Trivia

• Due to it originally being unlocked by other means in Splatoon, the Hero Jacket Replica is not made by amiibo, but Cuttlegear, despite being unlocked from the Callie amiibo in Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3. This is shared with the rest of the gear rewarded with the Squid Sisters amiibo.
