Hero Runner Replicas

The Hero Runner Replicas are a pair of shoes in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, they are a 2-star item produced by Cuttlegear and come with the primary ability Quick Super Jump. They are obtained after completing Octo Valley. They cannot be ordered from another player.

In Splatoon 2, they are a 2-star item produced by Cuttlegear and come with the primary ability Quick Super Jump. They are only available from the Callie amiibo after completing Octo Canyon. They cannot be ordered from another player.

In Splatoon 3, they are a 1-star item produced by Cuttlegear and come with the primary ability Quick Super Jump. They are only available from the Callie amiibo. They cannot be ordered from another player.

Appearance

The Hero Runner Replicas are a pair of black sneakers originally worn as part of the Hero Suit in Octo Valley. They have lime green accents, a black strap halfway down, and small blue spots at the top. Unlike the original Hero Runners, they do not light up. Lime green material surrounds the heel.

In Splatoon 2, the spots on the Hero Runner Replicas change color to match that of the wearer's ink. The spots now glow in the dark as well, like the original Hero Runners.

Abilities

The Hero Runner Replicas come with Quick Super Jump as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the Hero Runner Replicas come with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since they are made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Splatoon 2

Abilities

The Hero Runner Replicas come with Quick Super Jump as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the Hero Runner Replicas come with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since they are made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Splatoon 3

Abilities

The Hero Runner Replicas come with Quick Super Jump as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Hero Runner Replicas come with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star. Increasing the star level to 2 stars will add another secondary ability slot for a total of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since they are made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Trivia

• Due to them originally being unlocked by other means in Splatoon, The Hero Runner Replicas are not made by amiibo, but Cuttlegear, despite being unlocked from the Callie amiibo in Splatoon 2. This is shared with the rest of the Gear rewarded with the Squid Sisters amiibo.
• These are the shoes worn by Goggles, a character from the Splatoon manga.
