Round-Collar Shirt

The Round-Collar Shirt is a piece of clothing in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, it is a 1-star item produced by Rockenberg and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Sub). It can be purchased from Jelly Fresh for  600.

In Splatoon 2, it is a 2-star item produced by Rockenberg and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Sub). It can be purchased from Ye Olde Cloth Shoppe for  1,600 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for  3,200.

In Splatoon 3, it is a 1-star item produced by Rockenberg and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Sub). It can be purchased from Man-o'-Wardrobe for  1,600.

Appearance

The Round-Collar Shirt is a purple, short-sleeved, button-down shirt. The points of the collar are rounded off, hence the name, and it has white buttons that go left over right. It also has a small pocket on the chest, the Inkling text from the Rockenberg logo next to it in a very dark purple, and a tiny orange tag at the left side of the wearer's waist.

Abilities

The Round-Collar Shirt comes with Ink Saver (Sub) as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Round-Collar Shirt comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Rockenberg gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Run Speed Up and a lower chance of rolling Swim Speed Up to fill its secondary ability slot.

Splatoon 2

The Round-Collar Shirt comes with Ink Saver (Sub) as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 1-star item, the Round-Collar Shirt comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Rockenberg gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Run Speed Up and a lower chance of rolling Swim Speed Up to fill its secondary ability slot.

Splatoon 3

Abilities

The Round-Collar Shirt comes with Ink Saver (Sub) as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 1-star item, the Round-Collar Shirt comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 2 stars will add another secondary ability slot for a total of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Rockenberg gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Run Speed Up and a lower chance of rolling Swim Speed Up to fill its secondary ability slot.

• The Round-Collar Shirt is the cheapest Rockenberg gear in Splatoon, but not in Splatoon 2, because of the Rockenberg Black.
• The Round-Collar Shirt had been in Splatoon's data files since the original release but was not made available until Version 2.0.0. Prior to its addition, it was gray instead of purple.
  • The Italian name literally translates to "short gray shirt" while the French (NoA) translates to "gray T-shirt", suggesting that the switch to purple was a later change that came after localization.
