Snowman vs. Sandcastle was a Splatfest event in Splatoon. It was held for North America only. It was announced on 14 March 2016. The results were given on 20 March 2016.

Details

Snowman vs. Sandcastle was the first North American Splatfest to use Splatfest Power for matchmaking.[1] Nintendo also began publishing lists ranking the Splatfest Power of the top 100 players.[2]

The full name of each choice was "I'd rather build a SNOWMAN" and "I'd rather build a SANDCASTLE". The team name portion of Splatfest titles was "Snowman" and "Sandcastle".

The three stages selected for this Splatfest were Arowana Mall, Museum d'Alfonsino, and Mahi-Mahi Resort.

Notes: Requete- is an intensifier used only informally. This may be meant to sound outdated, as by the time of this Splatfest, the similar slang re- had already begun seeing use in South America. Additionally, chévere (this localization's equivalent of "fresh") is also seen as somewhat controversial, outdated slang.
