The Splash Screen is the image displayed immediately after starting Splatoon. It is an illustration of an unseen Inkling's bedroom, with the GamePad screen showing a map of the room and a large Splatoon logo. A pink squid icon on the map shows that an Inkling is just outside the doorway.

The percussion part of Squid Squad's song, Splattack!, is played over the Splash Screen.

Objects

From left to right.

• On the bed is a music player, which is white and squid-shaped.
• Some pink ink is on the floor, which appears to belong to the Inkling who is leaving the room and their File:Zombie Hi-Horses Gear Shoes White Headband.png White Headband shoe can be seen as well as a pink drop of ink from the shoe.
• The wall features a lot of branding artwork, including:
  • A poster of the Squid Squad.
  • A File:S Weapon .png [[]] filled with orange ink with a Jellyfish toy attached to it, attached to the wall with a hook.
  • A [[File:Firefin_Brand_{{{2}}}.png|24px|{{{2}}}|link=SquidForce]] [[{{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] sticker.

  • A slim chair which is squid-shaped. This kind of chair appears in the stage Ancho-V Games.
  • A laptop. The Splatoon logo can be seen and is possibly open to the Live from Squid Research Lab page.
