The Splatoon Testfire was the second and final Splatoon demo, available after the game's launch. Similarly to the pre-release Splatoon Global Testfire, Nintendo hosted various events at specific times for players to all join the game at once. The first event took place on 21 August 2015.

Event times

The North American event times were announced on 15 August 2015 and later reconfirmed through Squid Research Lab.[1] The demo was made available to download at the same time. The event ran from 21 to 23 August 2015 at 22:00 UTC each day and lasted two hours per session.

Differences from the Global Testfire

  • This demo had a different icon from the Splatoon Global Testfire demo.
  • The "pre-purchase" text on the title screen was changed to "purchase" as the game had already been released.
  • The Global Testfire demo was 6 MB larger than this demo.
