The Splatoon Testfire was the second Splatoon demo released by Nintendo. It was released on August 17, 2015 and was announced through the Splatoon Tumblr blog. Similarly to the Splatoon Global Testfire, Nintendo hosted various events at specific times for players to all join the game at once. The first event took place on August 21, 2015.

North America
The first NA event times were announced on August 17, 2015 through the Splatoon Tumblr blog.[1]
- Friday, August 21st 2015 3-5 PM PST
- Saturday, August 22nd 2015 3-5 PM PST
- Sunday, August 23rd 2015 3-5 PM PST
Differences from the Global Testfire
- The Global Testfire demo had a different icon from the Splatoon Testfire demo.
- The "pre-purchase" text on the title screen was changed to "purchase" as the game had already been released.
- The Global Testfire demo was 6 MB larger than the Splatoon Testfire demo.
