The Takoroka Mesh is headgear in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, it is a 1-star item produced by Takoroka and comes with the primary ability Defense Up. It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for Cash 400.

In Splatoon 2, it is a 1-star item produced by Takoroka and comes with the primary ability Bomb Defense Up DX. It can be purchased from Headspace for Cash 400 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for Cash 1,000.

Appearance

The Takoroka Mesh is a baseball cap with a mesh back and white front. The brim and mesh change color to match that of the wearer's ink. On the front is Takoroka's logo in black.

Abilities

The Takoroka Mesh comes with Defense Up as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Takoroka Mesh comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Takoroka gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Charge Up and a lower chance of rolling Special Duration Up to fill its secondary ability slot.

Abilities

The Takoroka Mesh comes with Bomb Defense Up DX as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 1-star item, the Takoroka Mesh comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Takoroka gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Charge Up and a lower chance of rolling Special Power Up to fill its secondary ability slot.

Splatoon 3

The Takoroka Mesh appeared in a Twitter post showcasing various shooter-class weapons on 2 May 2022. The rarity, cost, ability and other information regarding the gear item is currently unknown.

  • The Takoroka Mesh is tied with the Mint Tee for cheapest purchasable gear with Defense Up in Splatoon.
  • The Takoroka Mesh is available as a hat in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It can be obtained by scanning a Splatoon amiibo.
