Away-Team Catcher
The Away-Team Catcher is headgear in Splatoon 3.
It is a 2-star item produced by Forge and comes with the primary ability Last-Ditch Effort.
It must first be unlocked through leveling up the Drizzle Season 2023 Catalog to level 23, then it can be purchased from Naut Couture for 
7,700. It can only be ordered from another player after being unlocked.
Appearance
The Away-Team Catcher is a catcher's mask with a design resembling masks made in the 20th century. It features two black face pads, the edges of which change color to match the wearer's ink, covered with a metal faceguard that changes to match the wearer's ink attached to the front via numerous black straps. The bottom pad is decorated with a yellow Forge wordmark. The head strap is black with white accents and has a red sports label on the back.

Abilities
The Away-Team Catcher comes with Last-Ditch Effort as the primary ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Comeback, Opening Gambit, or Tenacity. As a 2-star item, the Away-Team Catcher comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Naut Couture for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Forge gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Power Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) to fill its secondary ability slots.
