The Tinted Shades is headgear in Splatoon and Splatoon 2. It is a 1-star item produced by [[File:Zekko_Brand_{{{2}}}.png|24px|{{{2}}}|link=SquidForce]] [[{{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] and comes with the main ability Last-Ditch Effort.

It can be purchased from and for File:350 Icon Cash.png or from SplatNet 2 for File:875 Icon Cash.png.

Appearance

The Tinted Shades are a pair of sunglasses with black frames. The rims are somewhat round and have tiny metal studs towards the hinges. The sides and lenses change color to match that of the wearer's ink. On the left side is the Inkling text from the [[File:Zekko_Brand_{{{2}}}.png|24px|{{{2}}}|link=SquidForce]] [[{{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] logo in white. The Tinted Shades are completely mirrored and opaque from the outside. When viewed from behind, the glasses will appear to have no lenses.

The Tinted Shades come with Last-Ditch Effort as the primary ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Comeback, Opening Gambit, or Tenacity. As a 1-star item, the Tinted Shades come with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since they are made by the Zekko gear brand, they have a higher chance of rolling Special Saver and a lower chance of rolling Special Charge Up to fill their secondary ability slot.
