Version 3.0.0 is an update to Splatoon 2 that will be released in late April.

Multiplayer

• Over 100 new pieces of Gear added.
• New stages: Piranha Pit, Camp Triggerfish, Wahoo World
• X Rank added.

Single-Player

• New DLC, called Octo Expansion, will introduce a new single-player story mode and playable Octolings. Players will control Agent 8, an Octoling that wakes up without any memories. Enemy Octolings in this mode seem to be recolored a sickly bright green. After completing this campaign, players will be able to play as a Male or Female Octoling in multiplayer gameplay and customize them just like Inklings. Octo Expansion will cost 20 USD and will become available on August 2. Cap'n Cuttlefish, Marina, and Pearl will all be involved in the campaign, which will consist of 80 missions.

• After meeting certain conditions, players can talk to Callie in Octo Canyon.
