Mention that Main Abilities can now be changed

Currently, the pages for gear with Main-exclusive abilities, such as the Teddy Band, incorrectly state that the user cannot have any other Main-exclusive ability in that slot in Splatoon 3. A caveat should be added to mention that the main ability can now be changed, particularly for gear not available through SplatNet 3 - therefore, the player is not necessarily locked out of other possible abilities for the same slot. "Increasing the star level to 1 or 2 stars..."

This phrase in the Splatoon 3 version (when describing how gear ability slots can be added) exists even on gear that starts as one-star gear by default (for example, the amiibo gear). I'm not a coder, but I was wondering if it would be possible to make this phrase dependent on the star level parameter, so that if the gear starts at one star it only reads "Increasing the star level to 2 stars will also add..."? Splatfest Tee

There should be something added to the template to account for the Splatfest Tee. Currently it works like regular clothing and its page says it can be upgraded with snails and have extra copies bought, even though it cannot have its star level raised ingame. It needs a special parameter or something to change this but I don't know how to do it MetalGecko462 (talk) 17:26, 24 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I think it would be preferable for unique gear like that to not use this template. It could and should just be written in normal wikitext. Heddy (talk) 17:34, 24 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass

Shouldn't this template also include Spyke in the "when purchased from shop or ordered from Murch" sentence? Since people can order from Spyke instead of Murch. HatedS3 Badge E-liter 4K 5.png 20:17, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

S3-Debut Grizzco Gear Ability Swapping

Hey, this has been on my mind for a while. But we have to consider that Grizzco branded Gear that debuted in Splatoon 3 can have Headgear/Clothing/Shoe exclusive Abilities (i.e: Last-Ditch Effort, Haunt, Drop Roller, etc.) as their primary Ability via Ability Chunks. So can this factor be mentioned in this template? P.J. GT(talk)SSBU Inkling Boy.png 23:52, 22 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
