In Splatoon 3, it is a 2-star item produced by Forge and comes with the primary ability Special Saver. It can be obtained through leveling up the Chill Season 2022 Catalog to level 54, or it can be purchased from Naut Couture for 7,800 from SplatNet 3 Shop for 11,700.
Appearance
The Skull Bandana is a large, dark gray bandana covering the wearer's face from the nose down. On the front is the lower half of a stylized skull with fangs similar to those of an Inkling, and below it, printed very small, is the Inkling text from the Forge logo in white. The bandana is tied in a knot on the back of the head, with some white patterns on and around the knot.
When displayed in a Locker in Splatoon 3, this gear is placed on a black mannequin head.
Splatoon
Abilities
The Skull Bandana comes with Special Saver as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the Skull Bandana comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Forge gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Duration Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) to fill its secondary ability slots.
Splatoon 2
Abilities
The Skull Bandana comes with Special Saver as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 3-star item, the Skull Bandana comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Forge gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Power Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) to fill its secondary ability slots.
Splatoon 3
The Skull Bandana appeared in the trailer for the Chill Season 2022 update and was added to the game on 1 December 2022.
Abilities
The Skull Bandana comes with Special Saver as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 2-star item, the Skull Bandana comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Naut Couture for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Forge gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Power Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) to fill its secondary ability slots.
