Bomb Sniffer, upon being equipped, is an automatically-activated [[ability]]. Its effects cannot wear off or be increased or decreased through the addition of multiple slots. This ability causes highly-visible skull icons to appear over [[Splat Bomb]]s, [[Suction Bomb]]s, [[Burst Bomb]]s, and Ink Mines, alerting the player of nearby danger.
Skull icons are displayed on the user's screen in the same location where opponent bombs within a certain distance from the user are displayed.

Decreases splash damage from bombs:
Bomb Sniffer is used to track down nearby [[Ink Mine]]s and [[Bomb]]s that have been placed by the enemy. This does not activate or expire and is a permanent ability that can last the whole match. Ink Mines and Bombs are marked as skulls as mentioned before and can be shot down or avoided to allow safer passage through the map. This ability is especially useful for spotting [[Seeker]]s and [[Ink Mine]]s.
