Inklings appear as newcomer fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. They are described on the Super Smash Bros. Blog as follows: "Attacks with a variety of weapons. Covering opponents with ink leads to more and more damage—plus these Inklings are really fashionable!"^[1] Inklings use a variety of weapons, including a Splattershot, a Splat Roller, a Blaster, a Slosher, an Inkbrush, Splat Bombs, and a Killer Wail. Inklings can cover opponents in ink, which multiplies the damage they take. The Squid Sisters also appear as an Assist Trophy, an item that helps the player defeat opponents. One of Splatoon and Splatoon 2’s stages, Moray Towers, is also a stage in Super Smash Bros Ultimate that has original and remixed versions of Splatoon series music that play while players are fighting on said stage. Various other Splatoon characters appear as Spirits, characters that can be linked to a fighter and power that fighter up by raising their stats or giving them special abilities.
