The Bento Splat Charger is a Charger in Splatoon. It is one of the nine weapons included in Sheldon's Picks Vol. 2 and was released on June 8th, 2016.
Description
The Splat Charger, like other Charger-type weapons, can be charged up to increase range and damage. The more it is charged, the farther the Ink will go. On top of that, a fully charged shot will splat an enemy in one hit if it lands. It also creates a thick line of ink, rather than a small blob like Shooters do. This weapon is the most basic form of Charger in Splatoon and comes in a set with the Splash Wall and Echolocator.
“ | The Bento Splat Charger features some weird green stuff Sheldon found washed up on a beach. We agree with Sheldon and think it’s pretty cool. It’s basically the same as the regular Splat Charger, but Sheldon amped up the defense with a Splash Wall. The Echolocator makes this set perfect for caring souls who love to support their teammates. | ” |
“ | A Splat Charger remodeled by Sheldon. Even if your opponents manage to get in close, the Splash Wall gives you the time you need to charge up your main weapon again. | ” |

Recommended Abilities
- The Tenacity ability is very effective on Charger weapons. With Tenacity equipped, the Special Gauge automatically fills anytime the wearer's team has more inactive (waiting to respawn) players than the enemy team. As the Bento Splat Charger tends to be splatted significantly less often than most other weapons, Tenacity is optimal to ensure Echolocator, an extremely valuable special for both the team and the charger, is readily available.
- The Cold Blooded ability reduces the duration of tracking by Point Sensors, Haunt, and Echolocators by 75%. Cold Blooded allows players to be unpredictable in positioning, win sniper duels and prevent quick splats by enemy snipers
- The Ink Recovery Up ability hastens the refill rate of ink. The Bento Splat Charger relies on frequent supplies of ink, making this ability important. This ability enables players to have constant and more long term map presence and have both main and sub weapons frequently at hand.Tentatek gear has a 5x higher chance of rolling this ability.
- Special Charge Up increases the rate at which the Special Gauge fills. Echolocator is extremely effective for the charger and its team, preventing flanks and aggressive pushes by the enemy team and allowing chargers to have a clear target to aim at, and coupled with the Bento Splat Charger's decent ink output, Echolocator will be a constant with Special Charge Up
Trivia
- The Tank of the Bento Splat Charger is a Soy Sauce bottle.
- The Bento Splat Charger is decorated with fake grass (Baran) used to separate the different foods.
