The Overlorder is the final boss in Splatoon 3: Side Order.

Appearance

The Overlorder is an extremely oversized octopus, colored in the same black ink as Jelletons. All of the facial features appear to not be natural, as for example, it has two Infinity Balls for eyes. The ink it is covered in is also transparent, with white "bones" inside, similar to the Jelletons.

Strategy

  • The Overloader has many different special attacks that players must be prepared for, as they can surprise Agent 8. Overloader can summon beams similar to the Stinger, several Reefsliders consecutively, and Super Chumps.
    • Players will also see dialogue coming from the boss hinting at the attack about to be used.

Quotes

The following text is quoted from the Jelleton Field Guide.

Acht

"Order was vicious. But we're no slouches ourselves. I always knew Eight and Pearl could do it. And so we returned to the real world, happily ever after."

Marina

"Wasn't that li'l Order cuuute? I wonder where it went."

Pearl

"That's the last we'll see of THAT creep, I bet. And if not, then Eight, Marina, Acht, and me are gonna fry it up all over again!"

Trivia

  • In the Jelleton Field Guide, the Overlorder and Marina Agitando's page is different than the other enemies. Both of their portraits has a slight rotating rainbow-like pattern on top of it, a darker and more animated page color scheme, a different portrait background, and a glowing gold title for their name.
