An Inkling using a weapon.

Weapons are tools used in Splatoon to spread ink and splatter enemy Inklings. They can be purchased from Ammo Knights with cash earned from multiplayer matches and Amiibo challenges.

List of Weapons

For a full list of weapons, see Category:Weapons.

Main

Shooter

  • The Splattershot Jr. is a fast firing weapon with low range and damage. This weapon is the first weapon given to you.
  • The Custom Splattershot Jr. is identical to the Splattershot Jr. however it has different sub and special weapons, it also has a star on the side of the gun.
  • The Splattershot is a standard weapon that shoots rapid-fire bursts when the trigger is held down, allowing for quick coverage of large areas.
  • The Hero Shot Replica is identical to the Splattershot however it looks like the Hero Shot from Octo Valley and is unlocked via the Inkling Squid amiibo.
The Splattershot, Splat Charger, and Splat Roller.
  • The Splattershot Pro is a slightly slower and stronger Splattershot with more range.
  • The Aerospray MG fires in quick bursts, so players are able to coat large areas in a short amount of time. However, it is a short-range weapon, so it can make quick work of nearby targets.
  • The Aerospray RG is similar to the Aerospray MG however it has different sub and special weapons and a golden colour scheme
  • The Blaster shoots large bullets that explode into ink. Enemies can be caught in its blast, but a direct shot will quickly take them out.
  • The Jet Squelcher has the longest firing range in the Shooter category. It can be a fairly effective sniping tool.
  • The Dual Squelcher is similar to the Jet Squelcher however, it has a faster firing rate and lower damage. It also has different sub and special weapons and a red colour scheme.
  • The L-3 Nozzlenose is an unreleased weapon that appears to have a large, curved mouth and is wrapped with a fire hose. It will be released as DLC in the future.
  • The N-ZAP '85 is an already released, free DLC weapon that takes inspiration from the original NES Zapper.
  • The N-ZAP '89 is an unreleased weapon that takes inspiration from the 1989 version of the NES Zapper. Instead of being black and white, it is orange and white.
  • The Rapid Blaster Deco is identical to the rapid blaster, but with different sub and special weapons. It is red and gray, with small, yellow arrows serving as highlights.
  • The Splash-o-matic is an already released, free DLC weapon that is a steampunk-style, pistol-like weapon with a high rate of fire.
  • The .52 Gal is a slower firing Splattershot with more range and power. It is pink and grey.
  • The .52 Gal Deco is identical to the .52 Gal however it has different sub and special weapons and it has a bedazzled appearance.

Charger

  • The Splat Charger requires a quick charge, but is able to splatter the ground in a linear fashion and take out distant enemies.
  • The E-Liter 3K has a fairly time-consuming charge rate, but it is able to shoot enemies from very far away.
  • The Splatterscope features a scope, making it easy to take out distant enemies.
  • The Custom E-Liter 3K is an unreleased weapon that appears similar to the E-Liter 3K. What differentiates it from that weapon still remains to be seen.
  • The E-Liter 3K Scope is an unreleased weapon that appears similar to the E-Liter 3K. However, this weapon includes a scope for long-range shots.
  • The Classic Squiffer is a faster firing charger with less range and power, it still shoots enemies in a linear fashion.
  • The New Squiffer is identical to the Classic Squiffer however with different sub and special weapons.

Roller

  • The Splat Roller allows players to spread ink while moving quickly. When shaken, it splatters a small amount of ink nearby.
  • The Dynamo Roller covers a large amount of turf and deflects enemy fire when shaken, but is fairly slow.
  • The Inkbrush is an already released, free DLC weapon. It covers a small amount of territory and can be swiped quickly as a melee attack, and allows for extremely quick movement.
  • The Carbon Roller is an unreleased weapon that appears similar to the Splat Roller. What differentiates it from that weapon still remains to be seen.
  • The Gold Dynamo Roller is identical to the Dynamo Roller however with different sub and special weapons and a golden appearance.

Sub

The Sprinkler, Splash Wall, and Splat Bomb.
  • The Burst Bomb is a water balloon-esque bomb that explodes on impact. Because it contains less ink than a Splat Bomb, multiple can be thrown quickly and two must be used in order to splatter an opponent.
  • The Disruptor slows enemies down and lowers their abilities.
  • The Ink Mine can be hidden in ink, and will explode after a short amount of time or when an enemy touches it.
  • The Point Sensor reveals the locations of enemies and marks them for all teammates to see for easy tracking.
  • The Seeker is a mechanical device that follows enemies and leaves a trail of ink behind. Upon reaching its target or after a certain amount of time, it explodes into a large burst of ink.
  • The Splat Bomb is the standard Sub Weapon. It is a pyramidal container filled with ink that explodes after a short period of time.
  • The Splash Wall forms a barrier made of falling ink that prevents enemy movement and fire.
  • The Sprinkler can be thrown onto a variety of surfaces and sprays out spurts of ink in a circular motion for a short amount of time.
  • The Squid Beakon is a device that allows teammates to Super Jump directly to its location.
  • The Suction Bomb sticks to walls and other surfaces, exploding shortly after.

Special

File:Special-weapon (1).png
The Killer Wail, Inkzooka, and Inkstrike.
  • The Bubbler is a spherical force field that rebounds enemy attacks and can be spread to teammates. It is available for a short amount of time.
  • The Echolocator reveals the locations of all enemies for teammates to see.
  • The Inkstrike can be placed using the Wii U gamepad and creates a large, swirling vortex of ink to appear.
  • The Inkzooka shoots tall, narrow twisters of ink in rapid succession, allowing for quick placement of linear paths and splattering of enemies.
  • The Killer Wail blasts a large sound wave in a certain direction that obliterates all enemies in its path.
  • The Kraken allows Inklings to temporarily transform into large, kraken-like creatures with enhanced mobility and power.
  • The Bomb Rush allows you to throw either unlimited Splat, Burst, or Suction bombs without consuming ink for a short time.

Weapon Sets

In Splatoon, weapons come as a predefined set. For example, the standard Splat Roller comes with the Suction Bomb and the Killer Wail as its sub and special weapons, respectively. You cannot have a Splat Roller with the Seeker and Inkstrike, as there is no predefined set for the Splat Roller that includes the Seeker and Inkstrike.

However, there *are* alternates of certain classes. An example of this is the Krak-On Splat Roller, which uses the Squid Beakon and Kraken rather than the Suction Bomb and Killer Wail that the classic Splat Roller sports.
