The unnamed tracer dart is an upcoming sub weapon in Splatoon 3.
Appearance
While its appearance is unknown, the tracer dart's icon on the special gauge suggests that it would look like a marker pen or a highlighter. Like the Point Sensor, enemies tagged by the tracer dart are encircled by a translucent black arrow and tied to the tracer dart user with a line of the user's ink color, although the line is only visible to the user.

Description
When thrown, the unnamed tracer dart tags an enemy similar to the Point Sensor. The tracer dart is a fast-moving projectile that travels in a straight line instead of an arc like other thrown sub weapons, briefly leaving a trace of its flight path that is visible to both teams. As of the Release Date Revealed trailer, it is a part of the Splattershot Pro's kit.
