The Permanent Inkbrush is a main weapon in Splatoon. It is a recolored Inkbrush, with red stick instead of blue, with a different sub weapon and special weapon loadout.

Etymology
Permanent Inkbrush is a combination of Ink and Brush, as well as Permanent. Permanent refers to permanent markers and permanent ink.
パーマネント・パブロ Pāmanento Paburo is a reference to Pablo Picasso, a famous Spanish Cubist artist. パーマネント Pāmanento also refers to permanent markers, like the English name.
