The Luna Blaster is a main weapon in Splatoon and Splatoon 2.
Like other blasters, the Luna Blaster fires an explosive round that lets it deal damage to opponents hiding behind obstacles or around corners. It takes one direct hit or two indirect hits to splat an opponent, but shooting the opponent directly rather than relying on the blast takes careful and precise aim due to the weapon's low firing rate. However, out of all blasters that can splat opponents in one direct hit (Luna Blaster, Blaster, Range Blaster), the Luna Blaster actually has the fastest fire rate and the largest blast size, but the lowest range. The weapon's mobility is high, so speed is raised when it is equipped, even when attacking with the weapon.

In Splatoon, there is some black Inkling text on the back half of the blaster. In Splatoon 2, this text is replaced by the Neo logo.

Sheldon's Introduction
The Luna Blaster is a specialized shooter that can unleash explosive power at close range!
Its rate of fire is good, and its blasts cover a wide area, but you'll need the Inkzooka to hit far-off foes.
Oh, and the Ink Mines can really make a difference in the right hands, so this set is perfect for veterans!(NA)[a] |

“ | What it lacks in range, it more than makes up for in fire rate and explosive impact. This blaster-type weapon is perfect for getting up close and personal. For far away foes, build up that special gauge and blast 'em with an Inkzooka, or ruin their day with a surprise Ink Mine! | ” |

Sheldon's Introduction
The Luna Blaster may look cute, but its short-range exploding ink shots pack a serious wallop. It's got a decent fire rate but lacks range, so it comes with Splat Bombs to keep your opponents right where you want 'em. The final blast the Baller special provides is huge, too. Think about the map terrain around you when it's time to blow! |

Trivia
- In Splatoon, the Luna Blaster and its variant, as well as the Inkbrush and its variants have the shortest range stat in the game.
- This continues in Splatoon 2, except the Inkbrush has slightly less range.
- The Luna Blaster appears to be a jet turbine; with the protruding parts representing the oxygen intake.
