the use of Obligato I belive also speaks to the unique situation of Overlorder Phase 4: outside of the act 1 tutorial, this is the only combat segment that you're guaranteed to finish to completion once starting it, and it's the only section at all where your colour chips are predetermined and set in stone. regardless of the path you took to get here (or even no path at all, if you use the Recall Battle function), it's going to play the same, especially with regard to the colour chips. it's both the 'only' obligato of the main game as well as an obligato of the 'spectrum' in specific. I'll try to include a concise version of this to fit alongside the other suggested etymologies, but if it ends up unclear, here's what I meant by that in more detail Emberlily (talk) 04:55, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

does anyone have an audio file of the beginning part in the "heartbeat" section? id really like to hear that again and it would probably benefit a lot of other people that way too if someone recorded even a janky version of it. thanks!  Deltarune fan (talk) 00:26, 1 May 2024 (UTC)

Etymology

the use of Obligato I belive also speaks to the unique situation of Overlorder Phase 4: outside of the act 1 tutorial, this is the only combat segment that you're guaranteed to finish to completion once starting it, and it's the only section at all where your colour chips are predetermined and set in stone. regardless of the path you took to get here (or even no path at all, if you use the Recall Battle function), it's going to play the same, especially with regard to the colour chips. it's both the 'only' obligato of the main game as well as an obligato of the 'spectrum' in specific. I'll try to include a concise version of this to fit alongside the other suggested etymologies, but if it ends up unclear, here's what I meant by that in more detail Emberlily (talk) 04:55, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

missing begining

does anyone have an audio file of the beginning part in the "heartbeat" section? id really like to hear that again and it would probably benefit a lot of other people that way too if someone recorded even a janky version of it. thanks! Deltarune fan (talk) 00:26, 1 May 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
