undeciphered text at the bottom

There are a handful of decipherable characters in the text, but the majority seem to be undecipherable.

Here's what I was able to parse; bolded characters are definite as they correspond in both shape and orientation, non-bolded characters are indefinite with same orientation but loose shape match, or exact shape match but differing orientation, and question marks are unknowns:

• K?????X? PK MA?KXLP??M

All the definite characters are in "Sign" script, but most of the indefinite ones resemble "Alterna" script. Given this seeming blend of scripts plus the positions & makeup of the definite characters, I'm strongly inclined to say this text is either strictly mimicry or is gibberish, and not properly decipherable. Sadly, it's likely just gibberish. As far as I'm aware, none of the text found in the catalogs can be deciphered into anything meaningful. Cackle (talk) 03:48, 13 June 2024 (UTC)

interesting good to know, do you think there's a possibility that its in a new language it would explain why some letters don't appear in any languages know to date? LuckySoda (talk) 13:13, 13 June 2024 (UTC)

I doubt it. I think they they just like to adjust characters for aesthetics every now and then. You see it a lot with mimicry in recent games, but they used it for most of the script text in the first Splatoon, as well as a lot of the sign script in Splatoon 2. If these were alternate versions of the scripts, that'd be really interesting, but I don't think we'd ever be able to solve them. Cackle (talk) 01:11, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
