silly thing regarding the recent edit on the splatoon 3 agent 3 page
Hey! I just wanna point out that the slop suit inkling in the concept art IS most likely an agent 3. Due to the fact that all three of them are identical inklings and octolings to the three promotional characters shown in the game's app icon (which includes the base Neo Agent 3 as part of them), and also the leitmotif most of the time being the number "3", aka most things having the count of 3 (3 idols, the NSS being consistent of 3 'bosses', etc) would make sense to include the third one.
Alongside the fact that all three of them also appear constantly together, I feel like this stuck in concept art too, wanted to see what you'd think about this
i cant attach images so i have to link them individually
another instance of the three appearing together
I personally feel like the three are supposed to all be based on the new agent 3/the player, just showcasing different gamemodes and playstyles (the yellow one being turf/anarchy, the octoling being hero mode and the light blue one being salmon run)
@Driftin Soul (idk if pinging is necessary im new to this lol :]) Snoweh (talk) 16:05, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- The Bedhead-style Inkling is prominently featured in Splatoon 3 material, yes. But unless you can proffer an official instance of them actually being depicted as Agent 3 (For instance, as the promotional Octoling is on the cover of The Art of Splatoon 3), please do not make edits based on your personal feelings. I've already discussed this topic with other editors in the Discord and they agree that it's unrealistic to assume this promotional player design is also a version of Agent 3. Capitalization
Hello, in the 6.1.0 article, I noticed that you had made capitalization changes with the intent to match Nintendo's notes. However, please be advised that per INK:MOS, capitalization is only used for proper nouns, for the first letter in a sentence, and for exact quotes.
If someone wanted to see the exact original notes, they would go to the Nintendo website. As an encyclopedia, we are not here to host an exact copy of the official notes; we are here to use the official notes as a source to build the best possible article about the subject. We use Nintendo's update notes as a starting point, and editors can make changes on top of that, such as: adding more notes and corrections from non-Nintendo sources, changing wording for clarity, re-organizing notes, and applying our own guidelines (like INK:MOS capitalization guidelines). When you added the incorrect capitalization you were reverting the admin GloverMist's edit as they had just corrected the capitalization.
Please be aware of the INK:MOS capitalization guideline going forward, and please let me know if you have any questions. Heddy (talk) 01:09, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Understood. I was aware of the MoS guidelines and I do my best to follow them, but I was under the impression that when it came to documentation on the version pages themselves that we should aim to reproduce the text exactly as written by Nintendo, and that any further elaboration could be made through notes or on other pages detailing individual elements of a version's changes.
- I just want to say for the sake of full transparency that I did understand that I was reverting part of GloverMist's edit and that I did leave them a message explaining my reasoning (and making clear that I otherwise approved of the edit) in the Discord, but I also now understand my reasoning was amiss. In future I will endeavor to seek the opinion of other editors on formatting issues such as these if I am unsure. Driftin Soul (talk) 15:37, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
Splatfest Tees
Hey! I wanted to thank you for uploading the Splatfest Tee images (especially with high quality); but I also wanted to remind you that there are categories for the Splatfest tees which need to be added as well. There's been plenty of times where you uploaded an image of a Splatfest tee, but didn't add the respective category, I know there's several others who do this, but i've noticed that you've done it a lot so I wondered if you didn't know that the categories existed. ^^ -Random 16:12, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for reminding me! What I should really probably be doing though is changing the file type to 'splatfestteamtee' (rather than 'screenshot' or 'clothingcloseup'), because that would add it automatically. I tend to forget some of the more obscure file types like that. Driftin Soul (talk) 17:07, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
