The Egg Cannon is used during Salmon Run Next Wave to launch Golden Eggs long distances, using a move called Egg Throw.

Golden Eggs accurately thrown at a teammate will be automatically picked up. Likewise, Eggs thrown at the Egg basket will be automatically collected. Golden Eggs may also be thrown at King Salmonids to deal massive amounts of damage.
