Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U
To celebrate the release of Splatoon, it was confirmed in the Splatoon Direct that players who had pre-ordered or purchased Splatoon from GameStop would receive a download code for Inkling Mii Fighter costumes in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. These costumes were later made purchasable on June 14th, 2015.
Both the outfits and hats of the male and female Inklings are be available as one item set, and the Inkling Squid hat is part of an individual set. These costumes are represented in the characters respective default colours of orange for female and blue for male.
An Inkling trophy is given to one if they purchase any of the mentioned costumes.
Super Mario Maker
By putting Inkling Boy amiibo, Inkling Girl amiibo, and Inkling Squid amiibo on Wii U Controller, players will get the respective costumes for Mario to use. In addition to costumes, level clear music for Hero Mode from Splatoon will play whenever the player reaches the goal pole with these costumes.
