Tongue Trivia

I am new to making edits/comments, so please let me know if I'm doing something wrong.

The trivia piece on Frye's tongue being the first in-game appearance of an inkling's tongue is possibly inaccurate, as Pearl's can be seen in the end cutscene for Octo Expansion during her killer wail special. Would this warrant a change to Frye's and/or Pearl's page?

Of course, as long as you are 100% sure it was the case. Miss Delibirda (talk) 13:40, 30 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Source for fact?

I tried looking online for a source to back up on the trivia fact "The reason for Frye's noticeably large forehead may be due to large foreheads being a sign of beauty in Indian culture", but I cannot find a reliable source to back it up. I saw a few twitter posts saying claiming this, along with one article, but there were also posts that claimed the opposite, and the article sourced Quora for its fact. Could the person who added the fact give the source they found this fact from? Kenderman123 (talk) 17:14, 6 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I believe it is from this video from Caitlin Koi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93QC9E32_mE Woomy? (talk) signature signature 19:02, 6 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Vampire Squid?

Many people have found the similarities between Frye’s design and the appearance of vampire squid (large head, purple glowing fingers and toes) and otherwise vampire-like features (long fangs and ears). Could this be reasonable to add to her page or do you think it’s speculation? Spleet (talk) 11:27, 30 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

There are several problems with that theory; 1. Vampire squid are not squid 2. The devs don't base the Inklings on a specific species 3. Vampire squid do not have ink 4. They are not called vampire squid in Japanese. Miss Delibirda (talk) 11:29, 30 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
You’re right. However, vampire squid do produce a “substitute” for ink- a bioluminescent mucus that glows in a bluish color. That may be the reason Frye is the only Inkling to have glowing fingers. Of course, this is all speculation! Thank you for the answers. Spleet (talk) 08:33, 31 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
