It’s time for a little double trouble! The Glooga Dualies are not just a fun name to say – they’re formidable weapons, whose power increases immediately following a dodge-roll. Rounding out the kit is the Ink Mine sub weapon, which helps allies keep track of foes, and the Inkjet special. The Glooga Dualies will be available starting tonight!

[PSA] Keep clam! Next Tuesday, December 12th, at 6pm PT, a software update (Ver. 2.1.0) will be released. Just prior to this update, server maintenance will take place.

The Clam Blitz mode will be available with this update, along with adjustments for some weapons and stages. Our newest Squid Research Lab intern has been ordered kindly volunteered to post more details on this page.

It’s time for another Splatfest! This time it’s gonna get ugly. Which bad holiday gift would you rather receive? Sweaters or Socks? See, you can’t win! Unless your team wins the Splatfest, then you win. But you’ll still have a bad present. Hrm, further research might be necessary.

The Splatfest kicks off 12/15 at 9pm PT, but head over to Inkopolis Square and pick your team this evening!

Same features, different color! The N-ZAP ‘89 will be back in-stock at Ammo Knights tonight! At first glance, the included Autobombs and Tenta Missiles make this look like a great set for smoking out enemies. But you can also use this set to push forward aggressively! Sheldon recommends this for players that like to adapt their style to the state of the battle!

Attention! Clam Blitz, a fierce new Ranked Battle mode, will be added to Splatoon 2 on the evening of December 12th – Wait a sec, that’s tonight! Our dedicated team of researchers have been investigating this latest phenomenon, and managed to grab some fresh new footage.

What’s it all about?

In Clam Blitz, you’ll find clams scattered all over the stage. Collect them, then head to your opponents’ base and fire them into the enemy basket. First team to score 100 points wins!

Sounds kinda easy…

Yeah, maybe. If the enemy basket wasn’t protected by an almighty clam-repelling barrier of doom! Ahem… To break through this mysterious barrier, you’ll first need to create a Power Clam by rounding up 10 standard clams.

So I’ve got a Power Clam. Now what?

Now BOOYAH! Take aim and smash that sucker right through and fire all your clams into the basket. Breaking through the barrier will net you 20 points, while each clam you toss in after that is worth 3 points.

Will that barrier stay down for the whole match?

Not likely! As soon as you break through, it’ll start to repair itself. By chucking clams in, you can extend the timer a little, but once it hits zero, the pesky thing will be back to dam your clams.

Moral of the story? As soon as you break through, toss in as many clams as you can possibly muster. It’s a shellfish siege!

What if the enemy breaks through my team’s barrier?

Fight back with all your might and prepare to counter-attack – once your barrier’s back up, a Power Clam will appear at your basket, so you can go up the other end and give ‘em what for.

Anything else I need to know?

· If you get splatted, you’ll drop all the clams you were carrying

· If a teammate gets splatted, pick their clams up before the enemy does

· You can pass clams to a teammate with the A Button or L Button if you think it’ll help

· If the time runs out before a team reaches 0, the team with the highest score wins

All right, I’m in. When can I start playing?

Going forward, it’ll be in Ranked & League Battle rotation alongside the existing Tower Control, Splat Zones and Rainmaker modes.

And don’t forget, you can record your most glorious Clam Blitz moments by holding the Capture Button, then upload the goods to social media for instant bragging rights.

File:S2 Slosher Deco promo image.jpg

Tonight, the Slosher Deco will be available! Some may say that it’s “Deco-ed” out with an exclusive sticker. Rounding out the kit is a Sprinkler sub weapon and Baller special. As you can tell, this is a kit for Inklings who have the need to ink everything!

Also, fan-favorite stage Walleye Warehouse will make its big return. If you’re unfamiliar with this stage, shipping containers and a chaotic central area are the name of the game here. But don’t forget to mind the side passages: they can be easily overlooked when you’re dodging fire!

We’re not sure what these non-Inkling creatures are, but they’re doing a pretty good job covering Off the Hook, Ink Theory, Bottom Feeders, and other Inkopolis bands!

Ah, there’s something new about today. As new and satisfying as a fresh coat of paint. Let us introduce the brand-new Squeezer!

Based on our recent findings, the Squeezer is a new type of shooter with multiple firing modes. Squeeze once for a single high-power ink shot. Hold down to fire continuously. So basically, an enterprising young Inkling should press repeatedly when fighting opponents and hold down when inking turf. Wonderful! Completing this kit is the Splash Wall to protect your team, and the long-range wonder known as the Sting Ray.

Li’l Judd is the adorable counterpart to Judd, the official judge cat of Splatoon’s Turf War matches! He’s a mysterious kitty though, no one seems to know where he came from!

File:S2 Weapon Main Undercover Brella Promo.jpg

Like any good piece of spy equipment, the Undercover Brella is not what it seems. Our research has revealed that the canopy-launching mechanism has been removed to allow for rapid fire, and this Brella can even be fired when the canopy is open! Very surprising given that it looks like a normal umbrella to the untrained eye.

Adding to this kit is the Ink Mine and the Splashdown special. The Splashdown isn’t particularly spy-like, but it does pack a surprising punch for unsuspecting Inklings. You can try it yourself when it becomes available later this evening.
