DJ Octavio is the final boss of Splatoon's Hero Mode.

Appearance

DJ Octavio is a giant octopus, resembling the octopus form of a Octoling rather than the Octarians themselves. He wears an engraved golden helmet, and has a thick green cross scar on one of his tentacles, similarly to the other Octarian bosses. His robot is a gigantic turntable, complete with ink pool, lighting and what appears to be clusters of wasabi. The turntable has four cannons on the front, two extendable fists and a set of thrusters that allow it to stay airborne.

Attacks

The boss stage and boss itself uses everything you have learnt in Hero Mode. During the boss fight with DJ Octavio, he will use several techniques to try and splat you or crush you:

  • Octorpedo (Octarian torpedoes which explode on contact with anything. If you shoot it with your own ink it will explode and spread your ink.)
  • Fists (Two fists which are shot at you. Shoot these with your own ink to slow their progression and launch it at Octavio.)
  • Octarian Capsule (Depending on which stage of the boss you are on a different octarian may be summoned. Can be shot and broken.)
  • Killer Wail (Same as in turf war but a bit smaller range.)
  • Tennis Missile (A missile is shot at you, hit it with enough of your own ink and it will launch back at Octavio. He will shoot it back two times and you must hit him three times with it.)

Sunken Scroll Appearances

Shown here in this sunken scroll you receive in Mission 16, it seems to be that DJ Octavio can assume human-esque form, as Cap'n Cuttlefish can do the same.
