Signals are quick messages in multiplayer battle modes that can be sent to others using [D-pad] in Splatoon.

Current signals

Currently, there are two signals in-game, activated by pressing [Up] or [Down] on [D-pad]. The signals are different in each region.

Up
NTSC-U C'mon!
PAL To me!
NTSC-J (Translated) ???
Down
NTSC-U Booyah!
PAL Nice!
NTSC-J (Translated) ???

Multiplayer signals from an NTSC-U copy of Splatoon received by a PAL version will show up in the PAL localization ("C'mon!" -> "To me!" and "Booyah!" -> "Nice!") and vice versa. Because the signals can be interpreted differently, this may cause confusion.
