The Paint Roller is one of the several Power Weapons in Splatoon. It appears to work differently from other weapons in the game, not function as a projectile but rather as a trail of paint that forms slightly ahead of the player.
The paint roller serves as a melee weapon and appears to give the user a better speed than other weapons. It seems as if it has another way to attack with it, possibly adding range. Not only is it to form a trail of paint, but instantly splattering a player.
