Isn't Regular Battle synonymous with Turf War battles? Why do we have two separate articles for them? The description for "Regular Battle" exclusively names Turf War battles; unlike the Ranked/Anarchy Battle mode option, only one mode corresponds to "Regular Battle". :I think the reason they are separate is because Turf Wars also happen during Splatfests, so some of the information on this page is not for all Turf Wars. The Splatfest music should probably be removed from this page  {{User:GX 64/Sig}} 00:43, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
::Under that lens, standard Turf War and Splatfest Turf War should be regarded as two separate modes. "Splatfest Battle" redirects to the Splatfest article rather than to Turf War. If we want to be completely clear on standard Turf War being separate from Splatfest Turf War, we need a "Splatfest Battle" page equivalent to the Regular Battle page as well as a separate "Turf War (Splatfest)" mode page; In my eyes, it's simpler to make the "Splatfest Battle" page and the "Turf War (Splatfest)" pages be one and the same, since there is no other type of Splatfest Battle. ::::The Splatfest version of Turf War is a separate mode in-games though; it has significant game mechanic differences outside of the battles (ie. gear, availability, exp system, prizes) to warrant separating it from the standard Turf War page in my opinion.

:::::The Splatfest version of Turf War doesn't strike me as something distinct enough to merit its own page separate from the normal version of the mode...It's basically just Turf War but occasionally you'll get 10x/100x/333x battles, which are still mechanically identical to Turf War aside from the Clout earned being multiplied.<br>I would like to point out that though there's a slight issue in all of these plans, because "Turf War (Splatfest)" is already noted on the Turf War page, as in the mode in Splatoon 2 that's exclusive to private battles. I would argue it's a slightly different thing than the actual battles that occur during a real Splatfest, since it's a private mode meant for recreating the visuals of Splatfest and giving access to the Shifty Stations, so you'd have to make sure any information about actual Splatfest battles couldn't be easily confused with the private battle mode. The public version of Splatfest battles during Splatoon 2's lifetime were a separate mode with the aforementioned differences, which the Private Battle version lacks (ie. players can equip any clothing, no exp is gained). :::::::Yes, they are entered in different ways, but mechanically a Splatfest Turf War plays basically the same as a regular Turf War beyond the (largely external) Clout/Power systems. To me it seems kind of like trying to say that, say, Tower Control should be counted as two different modes depending on whether it's played in Anarchy Series or Anarchy Open, even though beyond the matchmaking/points earned they're both the same mode with no gameplay difference. ::::::::They are referred to as separate in official material, unlike the two Anarchy modes which are considered a collective. Entering one or the other Anarchy variant doesn't present the amount of differences one version of Turf War over the other presents. In Splatnet, entering either variant of the Anarchy modes labels the battles as "Anarchy Battle", whereas entering A Splatfest Turf War labels it as "Splatfest Battle", and entering a standard Turf Ware labels it as "Regular Battle". If you select an individual Splatfest Battle match in Splatnet, it says Turf War accompanied by a Splatfest icon, which the standard Turf War mode listings lack.
