What if Nintendo made a rematch of this as the final Splatfest?
Instead of the alternative title being "Who would be the best leader?", the alternative title would be "Who is the best member of Deep Cut?". Also, unlike the first match in Drizzle Season 2023, it would give 2nd Place points as well. It would even affect Splatoon 4's Story Mode plot, as if at the beginning of the Story Mode, the player meets the Deep Cut member who is in first place, then plays in the tutorial levels (similar to the levels in Octo Valley, Octo Canyon, and The Crater) battles the tutorial boss (DJ Octavio) to rescue the Deep Cut member in second place (who got brainwashed by DJ Octavio). Then, DJ Octavio states that he didn't steal the Great Zapfish or the last Deep Cut member, and both you and the two Deep Cut members go to a new location and meet the Squid Sisters, Sheldon, Shelly, and Donny. For the rest of Story Mode, you play through levels that are a mix of Octo Expansion, Return Of The Mammalians, and Side Order. Eventually, when you reach the final boss level, the Deep Cut member in third place was revealed to be brainwashed by a new antagonist. Luckily, Shiver and Big Man rescue the brainwashed Deep Cut member by removing the brainwashing headgear and assisting the Squid Sisters to collaborate on playing a spicier version of Calamari Inkantation 3MIX.
