Art of Chirpy Chips concert by Medo (2021)

I will try best to be an active part of the Splatoon hispanic fandom once the 3rd game comes out and keep the wiki updated with the spanish dialogue.

My story with Splatoon

TL;DR: Became a fan on 2017, bought a Switch on late 2018 and play and draw it to this day.

I knew about the existence of the franchize and despite enjoying nintendo, I didn't own a Wi U because i felt like it was enough with my Wii, so it always flew over my head. Despite that, I Iiked a lot how the game looked but I wasn't interested enough.

That was until around the first half of 2018, after seeing it on my YouTube recommendations over and over again, I decided to to click the video, It was the Squid Sisters Live Concert at Niconico Tokaigi 2016. The vibes I got from the music sitcked with me for days, specially the energy of Now or Never! and the joy with which they were dancing. I HAD to see more of this.

During the next couple months I watched a lot of Splatoon 2 content, on Spanish, since I was nowhere near good on english. I drew art of the idols, I watched people play it on YouTube and I knew I needed this game. I was planning on getting a Switch since before, my best friend got one on chrismas of 2017 and I enjoyed playing Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Oddissey on his, but I wanted one myself. I started saving money to get one my own console.

In just a couple months I was already a Splatoon fan and when I saw the Octo Expansion reveal trailer, I enjoyed it as one.

It was around the TNMT Splatfest, on may of 2018 that I couldn't wait any longer, despite not having my own console, I NEEDED this game, and from the money I was saving, I got it. I played a lot when I went to my friend's house, I wasn't able to go often since it's really far from mine and I was 12 at the time so transportation was hard. Those few matches I played were so much fun I wanted a Switch even more bad. I only got to vote on the Splatfests but never played any, until...

It was october of 2018, I had a lot of money saved but not enough yet, and I get a call from my mom, "What color was it? Gray or neon?". There was a big sale on a shop and my mom found a Switch on a relly cheap price. And when I got back from school, my mom was at work, but there was a Switch box on the living room. I gave the money I saved to my mom and she gave me back part of it and paid for the rest herself, so I used the money I had left to buy a NSO subscription and the Octo Expantion wich, despite already have seen a let's play, I wanted to try it myself.

After that I kept playing and drawing, learned english and expanded my knowledge about the game to this day.

This game has encouraged me to get better at art, made me feel part of a great community and most importantly, gave color to my life when I needed it the most.
