My reply to your question.

Hello, Lil’ Octoling. To customize your signature by adding files/images, go to your preference page (found on the top right corner) and scroll down to Signature. Make sure to change the text to “wiki text”. Then add the file name into your signature. For example, you would do something like [File:Splatoon 2 - Green Inkling Squid icon.png|20px] (add second brackets on both sides) if you want a green inkling squid.
