Template talk:Localized name

From Inkipedia, the Splatoon wiki

Can we also document differences between NA and EU/Aus here? - Slate (Talk | Contribs) 18:38, 9 June 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Where's Hungary?

Move

I appreciate that this template has been around since basically the dawn of the wiki, but the name has always bothered me as being not very inclusive. Foreign? Foreign to who? Suggestions welcome. Perhaps translation? Slate Talk Contribs 19:28, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Localized name? Translations? In other languages? Feels like one of these should suffice. Foreign was likely used as the implication was that Inkipedia was US based. Trig - 16:14, 29 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Moved to localized name. Trig - 17:14, 2 May 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I'm fine with the change, but the answer to @Slate's question is "foreign to English-speaking audiences", i.e. not English – the language this site and its articles are primarily written in, and which is pertinent to audience that uses it. So "foreign" is fine and accurate too, in that case. –Eli (talk) Eli (talk) 17:32, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

No google translate

Hey all,

I know that we've been good with this recently, but in the past we've had people come in and just google translating it all, so would it be possible to but one of those notes in there with the saying google translations aren't allowed or something similar. Thoughts? -Xando (ping) 12:55, 23 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
