Vibe is a feature that indicates the winning streaks of participants in online battles. In the lobby of the tower and when waiting for a match to begin, the Vibe Meter can be seen. On the Vibe Meter is a title and a number of flags. Every time the player's team wins, one flag is added to the Vibe Meter and, conversely, every time they lose, a number of flags (dependent upon the current meter level) are deducted.
If the player leaves the game mode and speaks to Judd in Inkopolis Plaza, he will reward them with cash based on their vibe. He will, however, only do this once per stage cycle, and when the stages change, the player's vibe resets to 0, meaning they will lose their chance to reap the reward.
Ranks
The following table lists the Vibe levels, flag penalties, and payouts:
Meter Level | Flags | Penalty | Payout |
---|---|---|---|
Chill Lukewarm (PAL) |
0 | 0 | Cash 20px |
Toasty | 0.5-3 | -0.5 | Cash 20px |
Smokin' | 3.5-6 | -1 | Cash 20px |
SO HAWT!! On Fire! (PAL) |
6.5+ | -1.5 | Cash 20px |
Unclaimed Cash bonuses will stack as the player's Vibe increases. For example, talking to Judd at 3 Vibe and then again at 4 Vibe will award Cash 20px followed by Cash 20px, but talking to Judd for the first time at 4 Vibe will instead award Cash 20px. In light of this, the best way to profit out of this mechanic is to quit as soon as 7 flags are obtained and talk to Judd.
