Splatoon (スプラトゥーン Supuratoūn) is an upcoming 2015 third-person shooter developed and published by Nintendo. The game focuses on a war between Inklings, using weaponized ink to control the most territory. The game is planned to be released for the Wii U.
Gameplay
Splatoon is a third-person shooter game focused on online multiplayer, in which eight players are put into two teams of four. Players may switch between the two forms of their Inklings - their human form, in which they can use weapons to spread ink and splatter opponents, or their squid form, which can swim through ink at amazing speed, recharge the player's ink tanks, or hide. Players can also find Power Weapons, such as paint rollers, launchers, and splatter bombs, which have increased power.
